May 30th Sign of the Week! Levon Helm Studios.

May 23, 2012ReubenNews0

This Wednesday’s Sign of the Week is near and dear to our hearts. It is best described in the words of Paul Beichert, Timely Signs president, who designed and fabricated it.

“Back in May of 2011, just before Levon’s birthday bash concert at Ulster Performing Arts Center, Timely Signs wanted to present Levon with a special gift for his celebration. We’d been working with Barbara O’Brien, Levon’s manager for many years and created a variety of promo items and awards for special guests who attended his Midnight Rambles. Levon wanted a sign for his barn in Woodstock where guests and performers could pose for a photo op. With all the touring and the Rambles every weekend, the plans for this sign always seemed to on the back burner and a couple of years had gone by.

When I heard about the birthday bash show, we decided we should give him the sign as a small token of our thanks for the good times he’s provided to so many of us over the years. I presented the sign to him in his dressing room right after he walked off the stage and he just loved it. I’ll always remember that big smile on his face. He was so filled with joy that night. That’s the Levon Helm I’ll always remember……”

May 16th Sign of the Week!

May 16, 2012ReubenNews0

It’s the Wednesday Sign of the Week!

This week we are featuring a recent vehicle graphic for Jeff Lowe Heating and Cooling! We’re very excited for them, not only because they are introducing another box truck to their fleet, but the company is actually celebrating it’s 100 year anniversary! How wonderful is that!

This box truck had high performance plotter cut vinyl graphics installed early this week.

Note about Vehicle Graphics – Think about the time your trucks spend on the road – whether on a job, picking up material or simply grabbing lunch – your custom fleet wrap is out there letting prospective customers know about your business. Did you know that vehicle graphics can generate up to 16 million impressions a year!

May 9th Sign of the Week!

This Wednesday’s sign of the week comes to you from Van Loan’s Discount Beverage, on Route 9W in Port Ewen!

Van Loan’s came to Timely Signs looking for a custom monument sign because they wanted to draw more attention to their business. They are located in a high traffic area which was set back from the road, and felt that a sign with more impact would drive more customers inside. We designed and fabricated a sign with non-illuminated flat Dibond panels routed with full color digital printing to simulate a 3D bottle shape. Sides were then contour wrapped with bronze aluminum. Coupled with these panels, is a 4’ x 4’  internally illuminated double sided sign cabinet with full color printed translucent acrylic faces to represent the label of the bottle. The entire monument stands over 16’ above grade.

Introducing the Sign of the Week!

May 2, 2012ReubenNews0

Those of you that follow us on social media (Hint… Hint…) will be in for a special treat. Each wednesday we are going to be featuring a Sign of the Week! that will showcase one of our signage projects from the Hudson Valley area. Not only will we be focusing on all the various products we offer, such as banners, monument signs, and vehicle graphics to name a few, but also we’ll be highlighting the area businesses that see the importance of quality and design.

So, without further ado… Let us introduce you to our first Sign of the Week!

Woodstock Integrated Health

This sign was made for a local company who needed some recognition on a busy road in Woodstock. Many times signs get overlooked due to poor sizing and location. You need to be able to find a happy medium between size and layout in order to achieve the perfect balance. The sign was made from wood composite with painted raised dimensional letters. The bottom panel is a custom routed shape with black plotter cut vinyl.
