When Health Quest, the Mid-Hudson Valley’s largest integrated health care system, decided to build a state-of-the-art surgical center in Poughkeepsie, New York, they called on Timely Signs to develop an exterior signage plan as well as a comprehensive donor recognition system. This center provides much needed additional operating room capacity to the surgeons practicing at Vassar and surrounding hospitals resulting in less wait time between diagnosis and scheduled surgeries.
A significant number of businesses and individuals made a financial commitment to help build The Center for Ambulatory Services. When it came time to thank these donors, Ann Armater, the Executive Director of The Foundation for Vassar Brothers Medical Center, contacted Timely Signs to assist in developing a plan for dedication plaques and other elements that would integrate with the clean, modern décor of the center.
The program of recognition elements includes room and area plaques fabricated from clear acrylic with stainless steel stand-offs and brushed aluminum dimensional lettering mounted directly to the wall. These vary in size and scope relative to the amount of the gift and create a unified approach across an array of backgrounds and installation requirements. A central donor wall that includes the names of all benefactors is being planned for installation at the end of 2012 to include year-end gifts to this facility.
