In the spring of 2015, the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union launched a new brand identity reflecting the credit union’s growing relationship with the Hudson Valley community. In the words of Mary Madden, President and Chief Executive Officer; “As HVFCU has grown, we’ve greatly improved our ability to meet the financial needs of our Hudson Valley neighbors…While our old brand served us well for more than 20 years, it no longer represented who we are, who we serve and where we’re heading.”
The logo was developed by the New York based agency Austin & Williams, and Timely Signs was contracted to implement the new look on exterior signage at all branch locations in Dutchess, Orange, Putnam and Ulster Counties. With 22 unique locations, the challenge was to deliver on replacement signage that created a consistent look for brand continuity.
The project included complete surveys of existing signage, as well as design and development of all interior and exterior signs. To ensure a timely processing of all necessary permits, Timely Signs represented the client at various planning board meetings for a variety of municipalities starting in the fall and winter of the previous year.
The fabrication of the signs required special attention to matching brand colors across a variety of substrates and fabrication methods. Exterior signage included large-scale dimensional logos, internally illuminated signs, as well at ATM graphic wraps. Finally the installation where Timely Signs rose to the challenge of putting all new signage in place over the course of a single weekend for a public press conference and reveal!
Additionally, HVFCU took advantage of the transit advertising available through our Timely Communications division, broadening the reach and impact of their new brand.
