Upper Landing Park offers Poughkeepsie residents and visitors a beautiful setting to enjoy alongside the Hudson River, an engaging walk through over 300 years of local history, and access to Walkway over the Hudson’s waterfront elevator. Timely Signs joined the construction team that The Dyson Foundation and Drake Creative selected to restore this former industrial site into what is now a critical connection between the Poughkeepsie Train Station and the Walkway over the Hudson.
The project included a system of free-standing interpretive signs, directional signage, dedication plaques, wall lettering and boulevard banners. The interpretive signage, researched and designed by Drake Creative, features steel I-Beam support structures, honoring the industrial past of the site. The historical panels were produced using the Digital High Pressure Laminate process (DHPL).
The directional kiosks were fabricated from aluminum and include modular screen printed aluminum directional panels. The wall installation features waterjet cut brushed aluminum lettering and DHPL panels in aluminum wall frames. The boulevard banners are screen printed Sunbrella fabric.
