When Health Quest, the Mid-Hudson Valley’s largest integrated health care system, decided to build a state-of-the-art surgical center in Poughkeepsie, New York, they called on Timely Signs to develop an exterior signage plan as well as a comprehensive donor recognition system. This center provides much needed additional operating room capacity to the surgeons practicing at Vassar and surrounding hospitals resulting in less wait time between diagnosis and scheduled surgeries.
Because of the increased traffic around the proposed new facility and the addition of a multi-level parking garage on the site, the City of Poughkeepsie required a complete review of the traffic patterns and a schematic for new directional signage to handle increased vehicle traffic on the streets surrounding the building.
Timely Signs provided a complete visual survey and developed an overall plan for size, placement and color of the individual directional signs located throughout the campus. We also provided representation at the planning meetings for the builder, Kirchhoff Construction and our client, Health Quest. Once approval was secured, we handled all of the fabrication and installation of the 24 modular directional signs that utilize standard aluminum SignComp extrusion, durable acrylic polyurethane finishes and high performance PSA graphic films. These are a long term, flexible solution for the medical center’s ever-changing and growing needs.
